MEET OUR VETERINARY TEAM IN LABELLE, FL

Owner and Chief Veterinarian
Dr. Donna Shipley
Dr. Shipley has always been an avid lover of animals. As a child, she had dogs, cats, birds, gerbils, turtles, rabbits, and a few chameleons. She was always finding stray or injured animals to bring home and become part of her menagerie of pets. Her parent worried every time they heard her walk in the door and say "Look what I found!" She was born and raised in Baltimore Maryland. Her mom currently still resides in Maryland. 

Dr. Shipley left home to attend undergraduate college in Greensburg, Pennsylvania at Seton Hill College. She graduated in 1990 with a B.S. in biology and a minor in chemistry. She went on to attend the Ohio State College of Veterinary Medicine in Columbus, Ohio. She graduated in the top of her class in 1994. Her first job was in Dayton, Ohio, where she worked until 1998. She left this practice for a warmer climate in North Carolina. After five more years in private practice, she decided it was time to move on to practice ownership.

Dr. Shipley moved to Florida in 2003 with her husband Todd after they purchased the Animal Hospital of Labelle from retiring veterinarian Bruce Steinfeld. She has been in Labelle ever since and loves the warm climate compared to up North. She is a small animal practitioner who enjoys caring for dogs and cats and preserving the sacred human/pet bond. She is a proud member of The American Veterinary Medical Association, The Florida Veterinary Medical Association, The Caloosa Veterinary Medical Society, and The American Animal Hospital Association. She also runs a cat rescue group called Shipley's Rescues. This rescue is a true NO KILL shelter for cats. Dr. Shipley has dedicated her life to animals and pet owners and feels she is blessed to have a career she loves and looks forward to every day of her life. 

TECHNICIANS

Diane Johnson 

Vet Technician
Diane has been with the Animal Hospital of Labelle from almost the beginning when Dr. Shipley purchased the practice in 2003. Diane started working as one of the first veterinary technicians in February 2004. She enjoys the company of her two dogs Dixie, Judah. When she is not surrounded by her fur babies, she loves the outdoors, boating, and eating great food at the many waterside restaurants that Florida has to offer.

Ashley Hamric

Kennel Technician.
I started working at the Animal Hospital of Labelle in the fall of 2018. I'm currently 19 and attend FSW. I love caring for all animals and have always had a passion for them. I also have many animals including a dog, 4 lizards, a tortoise, 2 turtles, and a guinea pig. On my time off, I love watching movies and fishing.

Delle Ainsworth

Receptionist
Delle is from Colorado and moved to Florida in 2018 to be closer to her family, especially her two grandsons. She has worked in the veterinary field for 20 years and is thrilled to be a part of Animal Hospital of Labelle's team! She has 2 dogs - Buttercup a chihuahua, and Fuzzy a miniature pinscher. She spends her free time with her family, gardening and exploring Florida
